We are currently seeking an experienced Vice President of Lending for a credit union located in Downey, CA!
Type: Full-time, direct hire
Salary: $118,000 annually + $5,200 (if opting out of insurance) + 10% employer contribution to 401(k)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in lending and financial services, including senior management roles.
• Proven expertise in consumer lending; HELOC lending experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with commercial lending and collections is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of lending platforms, especially Origence, preferred.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement performance-based programs and policies.
• Excellent communication and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with regulatory compliance standards.
• Background in underwriting and writing or enforcing lending policies.

• Direct and oversee all aspects of the lending department, including consumer lending, HELOCs, commercial lending, underwriting, and collections.
• Redesign and implement incentive and bonus programs to align with performance, growth, and service goals.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of lending and collections processes.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Evaluate and enhance existing loan products and identify opportunities for new offerings.
• Analyze loan and collection data to identify trends, measure performance, and assist with strategic planning.
• Manage lending department budgets and work closely with executive leadership on organization-wide goals.
• Leverage experience with lending platforms (e.g., Origence) to streamline operations.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and leadership to lending team staff.
