WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in an Operations Control Centre or related aviation environment. You’ll thrive in high-pressure situations and be skilled at managing multiple priorities. Your experience and skills will include:

  • Exposure to Crew Resource Management, rostering, and industrial agreements
  • Strong knowledge of Fatigue Risk Management for aircrew
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressures and conflicting priorities
  • Experience in Airline Operations and Crew Management Systems (highly beneficial)
  • Ability to solve complex problems quickly and efficiently while in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Due to internal progression we are seeking an onsite Crew Controller to play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Based in our Operations Control Centre, the Crew Controller will be responsible for managing and maintaining crew rosters, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and providing timely disruption management solutions. This is a shift-based position, offering you the opportunity to make a direct impact on the operational integrity of our airline.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with crew Enterprise Agreements, regulatory rules, and Fatigue Risk Management Standards
  • Managing disruption events by implementing effective recovery plans, balancing cost, customer outcomes, and compliance
  • Constructing and maintaining crew pairings and rosters to ensure operational requirements are met
  • Actively solving complex operational issues while working under pressure
  • Communicating effectively with crew members, Operations Control, and other stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects and identifying opportunities to improve operational practices
  • Adhering to all safety and security regulations in line with the Alliance Airlines Corporate Safety Manual
  • 5 days on, 4 days off roster with 10hr shifts rostered between 4am and midnight with the potential for overnight shifts in the new year
