Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country. We are looking for a Crew Lead Installer to assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The role also involves providing leadership to other crew members on the job. Duties/Responsibilities: Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customers' needs and expectations; connects panels to the power grid Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety Complete projects within established policies and procedures Ensures that equipment is weather-sealed Performs routine maintenance on PV systems Assisting the Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical system Train crew members up to speed on all components utilized during installation (procedures, tools, lines of communication, etc.) Check over provided jobs (pack out) before leaving the warehouse each morning to ensure provided material. Review plans and count parts from the plan set to verify BOM Responsible for final system walkthrough with the customer ensuring quality and aesthetic of install Cleanliness of job site and lon installation vehicles Responsible for following and actively enforcing all OSHA and ION safety guidelines at their location, including attending weekly safety meetings and safety inspections per ION policy Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation. Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read building plans. Ability to read equipment manuals. Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels. Ability to use ION technology, such as smartphones, Paycom, Field Pro, SalesForce, etc. Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required Solar Install experience is required Vocational or technical school training is preferred Driving Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check Physical Requirements: Must be able to work at great heights. Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time. Work Environment: Installation is done outdoors. Installers work on rooftops but also sometimes work in attics and crawl spaces to connect panels to the electrical grid. Installers work as part of a team. Installation of solar panels requires the help of Technicians and Electricians.
