VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT CREW MEMBER II – Street Maintenance: Tree Crew Starting Salary: $36,171 Join our team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our city's streets and green spaces! We are seeking motivated individuals for the position of Crew Member ll - Street Maintenance Tree Crew Member. Key Responsibilities: Perform general semi-skilled labor tasks with physical strength and stamina Operate a variety of trucks and heavy equipment for street maintenance Work as part of the Tree Crew, Asphalt Crew, and Concrete Crew Utilize chainsaws and chippers for tree maintenance Drive street maintenance vehicles, including dump trucks, for snow removal Sand icy or oily streets, and shovel snow Conduct routine ground maintenance tasks Complete work order and daily report paperwork Auxiliary Duties: Work overtime during emergencies, weather events, and snow removal operations Qualifications: Ability to perform a full range of duties with general supervision Follow written and verbal instructions effectively Communicate well with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers Valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver’s License Pass required criminal background and driving record checks Application Details: Position open until filled Come be part of a knowledgeable and amazing work team committed to excellence in serving a thriving and growing community and the commitment to City’s Core Values.
