Our focus is to provide well-kept and maintained trails, facilities and infrastructure for visitors to CVC managed properties. This position can expect to work mostly outdoors at various parks throughout the Credit River Watershed. QUALIFICATIONS  * Must possess a valid “G2” or “G” driver’s license in good standing. Successful candidate must provide a MTO Driver’s Abstract * Available to work Monday to Friday with occasional weekend on-call shifts (approximately 1 per month)  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Be able to work in adverse weather conditions * Ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff * Willingness to learn new skills  * Ability to lift 50 lbs.  * Experience in operation and daily maintenance of equipment and machinery, e.g. snowplow, sander, snowblower, tractor, hand tools, etc. * Must be able to report to Island Lake Conservation Area within approximately 30 minute during adverse or inclement weather conditions to ensure timely operational response  * Currently possesses or is willing to obtain Emergency/Basic First Aid, CPR C certification.   SUMMARY OF MAJOR TASKS  * Ensuring the safe operation, daily inspection and maintenance of CVC equipment * Carrying out maintenance and operations in various Conservation Areas, which could include but not limited to snow removal, trail maintenance, grounds maintenance, dam maintenance, heavy lifting, carpentry and plumbing * Conduct property liability inspections and assist in the completion of inspection forms * Assist with seasonal equipment changeover * Assist with the assessment and removal of risk trees * Assist with the production of firewood   * Ensure that work is conducted in a safe manner and that all CVC health and safety policies and procedures are always adhered to  * Maintain a good working relationship with staff, visitors, community groups and on-site operators   To apply for this opportunity, please submit a resume and cover letter in a Word or PDF file, one document preferred, via the ‘Appy’ button on the job posting or on our jobs page at: https://cvc.ca/jobs/ [https://cvc.ca/jobs/].
