Our focus is to provide well-kept and maintained trails/day-use areas for visitors of CVC managed properties. This position can expect to work mostly outdoors at various parks throughout the Credit River Watershed. This position may be partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs funding (CSJF), criteria for applicants. Successful candidate must provide a MTO Driver’s Abstract * Available to work Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Be able to work in adverse weather conditions * Ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff * Willingness to learn new skills * Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks  * Punctual, dependable, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule * strong work ethic, reliability and a positive team oriented attitude   SUMMARY OF MAJOR TASKS  * Ensure the safe operation, daily inspection and maintenance of CVC equipment * Operate a variety of grass cutting equipment (ride-on lawnmowers, weed trimmers, etc.) in main day-use/picnic areas at various Conservation Areas * Carry out additional maintenance and operations in Conservation Areas, which could include but not limited to trail maintenance, grounds maintenance, dam maintenance, heavy lifting, carpentry, and plumbing * Assist with seasonal equipment changeover from winter to summer   * Ensure that work is conducted in a safe manner and that all CVC health and safety policies and procedures are always adhered to   * Maintain a good working relationship with staff, visitors, community groups and on-site operators   To apply for this opportunity, click on the ‘Apply’ button and submit a resume and cover letter in one Word or PDF file, and upload using only the ‘Resume’ option.
