As our team expands, we are looking for a committed and experienced legal professional to lead our Criminal Injuries department.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Criminal Injuries Manager with a strong background in handling CICA claims to lead our team. You will be responsible for overseeing a department of file handlers and assistants, ensuring the highest standards of casework, compliance, and client care. This is a leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and is ready to drive performance, mentoring, and quality assurance across the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise a team of paralegals and file handlers dealing with CICA claims
• Manage a limited caseload of complex or high-value claims
• Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal quality standards
• Provide legal guidance on complex or disputed matters and escalate where necessary
• Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and formal appraisals
• Deliver training and mentoring to support professional development
• Ensure timely file progression, accuracy of records, and effective use of case management systems
• Stay current with legal developments, CICA procedural changes, and best practices
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement of departmental processes
