JOB PURPOSE

Work with a caseload of individuals throughout their sentence, helping them to map, navigate, and access relevant support, facilities, and opportunities—both in custody and post-release. The aim is to improve their rehabilitative journey and facilitate long-term, positive outcomes in the community.
Along with delivering end-to-end, high-quality accredited attitude change programmes in a custodial setting, supporting learners through to the completion and achievement of relevant national qualifications.
We aim to work with people throughout their sentence and upon release to build a rehabilitation plan that ensures connection with all available rehabilitative services. This is to support a successful and sustainable transition from prison back into the community.

Our approach is grounded in four key value points:

  • Engagement – Using lived experience to build empathy and trust, understanding participants’ ambitions, and supporting them in planning from custody through to release with links to community services and support networks.
  • Sustain – Challenging outdated thinking and language while inspiring individuals to strive toward their own success markers and adopt new skills and ways of thinking.
  • Support – Conducting weekly meetings, facilitating SMART planning, developing community-based strategies, and maximising participants’ economic, social, and personal capital.
  • Progress Measures – Enabling participants to set and track their own markers of success in health, wellbeing, employment, and social development. All progress is approached holistically, focusing on long-term transformation and independence.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in relevant activities, attend meetings, and support the Company Directors and Line Manager as needed.

  • Train and liaise with partner agency staff to ensure smooth engagement with learners, effective performance tracking, and promotion of service growth.
  • Proactively raise issues or concerns with the line manager.
  • Promote and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organisation in all interactions, ensuring courtesy and respect.
  • Comply with all internal company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to partner agency policies when operating on their premises, especially regarding Health & Safety, Safeguarding, and incident reporting.
  • Identify personal training and development needs through supervision and appraisal, and report these to the line manager.
  • Carry out any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by the Line Manager or Company Directors.
