Personne qui évalue les facteurs criminogènes et le comportement délictueux de la personne ainsi que les effets d’un acte criminel sur la victime. Elle détermine un plan d’intervention et en assure la mise en œuvre. Elle soutient et rétablit les capacités sociales de la personne contrevenante et de la victime dans le but de favoriser l’intégration dans la société de l’être humain en interaction avec son environnement. Elle conçoit, évalue et met en application des activités de recherche, d'intervention ou de consultation à caractère criminologique. Doit détenir un baccalauréat en criminologie. Doit être membre de l’Ordre professionnel des criminologues du Québec. ********* A person who evaluates criminogenic factors and the criminal behavior of individuals, as well as the effects of a criminal act on the victim. They determine an intervention plan and ensure its implementation. They support and restore the social capacities of the offender and the victim in order to promote the integration of the individual into society while interacting with their environment. They design, evaluate, and implement research, intervention, or consultation activities of a criminological nature. Must hold a bachelor's degree in criminology. Must be a member of the Ordre professionnel des criminologues du Québec.

Responsibilities
The criminologist evaluates criminogenic factors and criminal behavior while assessing the impact of crimes on victims. They design and implement intervention plans to support social reintegration for both offenders and victims.
