You’ll respond to real-time mental health crises in the community, working with our upcoming Crisis Intervention Center (CIC). This isn’t traditional case management—there are no long-term caseloads. Instead, you’ll provide in-the-moment support to help de-escalate crisis and help individuals find stability. What You’ll Do: Respond to crisis calls in the community—where people “live, work, and play.” De-escalate high-stress, crisis situations with compassion. Collaborate with team members to stabilize individuals and coordinate care. Provide short-term, meaningful support to help individuals stabilize and help reduce hospitalizations & emergency room visits. Offer resources, safety plans, and next steps after the immediate crisis has passed. Document services & interactions and ensure follow-up care. We accept equivalent work experience in human services (teaching, daycare, CNA, etc.) or a BA/BS degree. One year of related work = one year of college. Must be at least 21 years old Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening; subject to random drug pool during employment Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification (provided by Center) Must pass all required background checks (KBI, KDADS, etc) Must maintain a valid driver's license; [MVR will be checked] Physically & mentally capable of working in high-pressure situations and responding to emergencies Must comply with TB testing and health screening protocols Must provide a medical clearance or documentation of necessary accommodations
