WE ARE LOOKING FOR TWO CRISIS MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIANS What You'll Do The Crisis Mental Health Technician supports the day-to-day operations of the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) by assisting with client care, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, monitoring client behavior, and supporting interdisciplinary staff. This position plays a vital role in crisis intervention, observation, and recovery support for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric and behavioral health crises. Essential Responsibilities: Provide direct support and supervision to clients in the CSU in accordance with individualized care plans. Assist in maintaining a safe, secure, and clean environment for all clients and staff. Conduct routine safety checks and document observations per department protocol. Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, meals, and self-care. Lead psychosocial groups and structured activities as directed by clinical staff. De-escalate behavioral crises using trauma-informed and nonviolent intervention techniques. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client status under clinical supervision. Report client concerns, symptoms, or incidents promptly to licensed staff and/or supervisor. Facilitate admissions, discharges, and transitions under the direction of licensed team members. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR). Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nursing, therapy, case management, and psychiatry. Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Complete and maintain up-to-date required training for this position. Perform all other reasonably related duties assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel. Requirements Required: Must be at 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language. Basic personal computer skills which enable the entry, retrieval and use of electronic data. A valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy and procedure. Preferred: Knowledge of the needs and challenges of adults and children who experience Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Severe Emotional Disturbances. General knowledge of mental health, substance use and housing systems of care Experience with Microsoft Office Software. Certified in Basic CPR, First Aid, and/or MANDT – if not, will be required to certify at the earliest opportunity. All employees will be required to submit to and pass a background check and drug screening.
