Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others and your community? Does the thought of helping those in crisis appeal to you? If so, consider joining the Justice and Crisis Response Unit at Behavioral Health Response (BHR) as a Crisis Non-Police Response Clinician (C-NPRC).
Our C-NPR Clinicians work closely with law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to provide effective and appropriate crisis intervention services to our clients in the St. Louis area. Working in teams of two, and without a police presence, you will respond directly to 911 or other policy dispatch calls to assist individuals experiencing a non-violent behavioral health crisis. You will utilize your skills and knowledge to support the client with crisis assessment and referral services, behavioral health education and support, brief solution-focused treatment, de-escalation, mental health first aid, connecting community members with follow-up services, and transport (when needed).
This is a hybrid office-field position, with the majority of time spent riding in a car and in the field. At times, the work environment can be high-stress and include potentially dangerous situations.
