Description Position Overview: Wyandot BHN is currently seeking committed Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Registered Nurses (RN) to enhance our adult crisis stabilization team. These roles will engage directly with consumers suffering from severe and persistent mental illnesses at our 24/7 crisis stabilization center. Pay: $29.00 - $42.00 per hour Schedule: We provide flexible scheduling options. Currently seeking candidates for days and evening shifts/ 7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am Requirements Essential Job Duties: Conduct psychological evaluations, identify problems, and provide crisis interventions. Manage medical cases as necessary. Support consumers in psychological, social development, and rehabilitation. Collaborate on medical care and interventions with staff and a psychiatrist. Perform blood draws for lab work. Monitor vital signs of consumers. Administer intramuscular medications. Maintain clinical records with accuracy and timeliness, adhering to MHCD standards. Attend team meetings, training sessions, and supervisory meetings as required. Fulfill additional tasks as directed by the Lead Nurse and Program Manager. Job Requirements: Education: Must be licensed as either a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas and in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Experience: Requires 1-3 years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Skills & Abilities: Knowledgeable about psychotropic medications both theoretically and in practice. Skilled in assessing crisis situations and intervening effectively. Capable of establishing and maintaining positive relationships with individuals. Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills. Able to communicate effectively and cooperatively. Takes a positive approach to complex mental health challenges. Culturally sensitive to a diverse client population. Holds a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current liability insurance coverage. Meets all relevant licensing and credentialing requirements. Able to perform essential job functions safely, with or without reasonable accommodations.
