About the Department 4 West (CCU/Cardiology) is an 18 bed cardiac unit comprising of 6 Coronary Care beds and 12 Cardiology beds. The unit cares for patients with acute coronary syndromes, rhythm disturbances and heart failure, along with caring for patients’ pre and post coronary angiography and pace maker insertion and other specialist procedures. The Coronary Care Unit cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, temporary pacing, inotropic support, intra-aortic balloon pumping and non-invasive ventilation. About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Grade 2 Registered Nurse with post graduate qualifications in Critical Care or Cardiac Care, who is seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity, in a supportive team environment, to become part 4 West on a part time fixed term basis at 32 hours per week. Duties Provide nursing care for acute cardiac patients Complete Advance Life Support Certificate Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings Liaise with the patient, the patient's family, medical and multidisciplinary staff Manage the physical and emotional wellbeing of the patient Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum).
