QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) recognised by Australia’s medical curriculum.
  2. Valid or eligibility for registration with AHPRA - General or Level 3+ Supervision levels.
  3. Australian Citizen or holder of visa with appropriate working provisions.
  4. PGY4+, with significant experience in an Australian Critical Care Department or equivalent with Paediatric and adult clinical experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Critical Care Registrars provide direct clinical services in Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) Critical Care Department (both Albury and Wodonga campuses), working as a team member within a major regional trauma retrieval centre.
The primary role of Critical Care Registrars is to provide direct care to patients in Critical Care Department. The positions will provide clinical management and consultation service to all patients either under direct supervision or supported by Intensive Care Consultants. Critical Care Registrars engage in quality assurance activities within the Critical Care Department.
Critical Care Registrars assist and promotes these strategies by ensuring duties are performed within legislative / policy / guideline compliance including but not restricted to the AWH policies and procedures and relevant legislation pertaining to the delivery of health care.
