Position: Critical Care Transport Paramedic Department: CareFlight Air & Mobile Services Facility: Miami Valley Hospital Shift: Full-time Days 7:00am-7:30pm/ 72 Hours Per Pay The MICU Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The MICU paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical care in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport and may also provide patient care for patients in Miami Valley Hospital and any Premier Health facility where a Mobile Intensive Care Unit is based. The CareFlight MICU paramedic works with all populations of patients. This position also includes public relations and medical education functions. Education: High School completion / GED; Certified as a Paramedic in the State of Ohio Licensure/Certification/Registration:  Paramedic in the State of Ohio  The following certifications are required at the time of hire:  BLS, ACLS and PALS  The following certifications are required within the specified time frame following hire:  90 Days- ITLS or PHTLS  1 Year – NRP, ATLS (audit)  2 Years – CAMTS approved professional certification Experience: Minimum 3 years of full time Paramedic experience required. Responsibilities

The MICU Paramedic provides advanced emergency and critical care alongside a CareFlight Nurse during transport, and may also deliver patient care within Miami Valley Hospital and other Premier Health facilities where a Mobile Intensive Care Unit is based. This versatile role also encompasses public relations and medical education functions.
