Description LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Critical Equipment Clerk in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for tracking and maintaining records of all critical equipment repairs, maintenance, and ordering, while also providing support to the Instrument and Engineering Coordinator and Multi Skill Technicians. Our Benefits - Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) - Medical, dental, and vision insurances available to full-time employees the first of the month after 60 days - Medical premium discount based on rate of pay - Supplemental insurances including life, cancer, accident, and disability - Access to mental wellness resources and counseling through telehealth - Free basic life insurance for full-time employees - Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer match each pay period - Employer funded retirement plan for vested employees & 403b offered - Access to wages prior to pay day - CDL bonus program Responsibilities Include (but not limited to) - Assist in communication with all internal operations and outside vendors related to device and instrument repair and operations - Review and address maintenance requests through internal ticket system - Maintain frequent contact and coordination with all levels of the company’s principal stakeholders including its Executive staff, Regional staff, as well as the external community - Track maintenance of spare devices and instruments within preventative maintenance (PM) software - Update and maintain information on assets and repairs in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) - Assist with administrative and logistical tasks associated with external repairs on critical equipment to include, shipping, coordination, scheduling, and tracking - Obtain and organize all existing maintenance contracts related to buildings and equipment - Draft correspondence, coordinate mailing and handle inquiries and requests from internal and external sources on behalf of Director of Facilities, Corporate Officers, and District Directors - Track, and dispose of equipment, in PM Software - Train staff on PM Software - Label critical equipment for new sites, bloodmobiles, and mobile donation centers (MDCs) - Notify quality assurance by JIRA ticket with validation request - Maintain spare critical equipment used for loaners and repairs - Perform various clerical duties within Netsuite, PM Software, JIRA, and Microsoft Office products - Perform miscellaneous clerical duties as needed - Must have consistent and reliable transportation - Attendance is a requirement of this position Minimum Qualifications - High school diploma or GED - Bachelor's degree preferred - Previous clerical and/or administrative experience preferred - Previous Field Service Management (FSM) software experience - Valid driver’s license required. Must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements - Basic Computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office - Knowledge of weight limits and proper ergonomics related to lifting and handling lab equipment and supplies - Excellent teamwork skills - Ability to organize and manage time effectively - Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing - Ability to establish effective working relationships with coworkers and the public Who We Are LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Responsibilities
The Critical Equipment Clerk is responsible for tracking and maintaining records of critical equipment repairs and maintenance while supporting the Instrument and Engineering Coordinator. This includes communication with internal operations and vendors, maintaining records in management systems, and assisting with administrative tasks related to equipment repairs.
