Why You’ll Love Working with Us Competitive pay: $18.50 per hour Comprehensive benefits package – medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending accounts Generous PTO supporting work/life balance 403(b) retirement plan with 3% match Career growth opportunities within a respected nonprofit organization Collaborative, casual, and mission-driven work culture What You’ll Do Assist in all aspects of repairing homes through the Habitat Charlotte Home Repair Program Support projects from demolition to final inspections and punch lists Work alongside volunteers and homeowners, teaching, encouraging, and mentoring them on-site Promote teamwork and communication between staff, volunteers, and homeowners Help plan for each day’s tasks, ensuring materials and manpower are ready Follow Habitat Charlotte’s Approved Construction Methods Manual to ensure quality and safety Maintain Habitat tools, vehicles, and equipment Represent Habitat in a positive and professional manner at all times Perform work safely, efficiently, and with a spirit of partnership Qualifications Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, ability to work and maneuver on roofs and high spaces Ability to work in tight confines and within crawlspaces, wearing a respirator as needed Ability to maneuver over uneven ground Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted Ability to stand most or all of any given day. Ability to work outside for extended periods of time during all months of the year. Internal Interactions: Construction staff and other Habitat staff as needed External Interactions: Habitat Volunteers and Donors Habitat Homeowners Level of Authority: Responsible for execution of specific construction tasks and projects as assigned Does not have direct reports Estimated Time Commitment: 40 hours/week; Monday - Friday, approximately 7:00am-4:00pm, with exact starting times depending on the time of year, the weather, and the construction schedule. Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is a drug-free workplace. A pre-employment drug screen and clean background check is required.
Responsibilities
