Job Description
The Forbes Advisor CRM team is on a mission to become a strategic and revenue-generating powerhouse. We’re on the lookout for an innovative marketing automation developer and strategist to elevate our lifecycle engagement efforts. In this role, you will be the architect and subject matter expert on our CRM systems. Shaping and optimizing our marketing technology stack to meet our business goals, while crafting strategic initiatives that enhance our customer experiences.
This individual has strong technical skills as well as a strategic lens towards user experience and maximizing revenue. They will work across multiple departments, including product & engineering, analytics, partnership, and our external vendors, to support our marketing technology stack.
Some key attributes we are looking for - tech-savvy, a natural curiosity, data-driven, and passionate about leveraging CRM technology to drive lasting customer relationships. This role will report into a Director, CRM and support the larger CRM team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience managing CRM journeys and automation in platforms like Iterable, Braze, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong command of HTML and JSON; able to troubleshoot dynamic content issues.
  • Hands-on with deliverability tools (Everest/Validity, Postmaster Tools) and analytics platforms (GA, Tableau, Google Sheets).
  • Deep understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, audience segmentation, and personalization strategies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Preferred: Iterable Masterclass Certification (Iterable Foundations a plus); experience with OneSignal or WebPush tools.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement CRM journeys and ad hoc campaigns across multiple channels (email, SMS, and WebPush), using HTML templates, WYSIWYG editors, and JSON.
  • Optimize and maintain our CRM platforms (Iterable, Everest, Postmaster, and OneSignal) to improve user experience and campaign performance.
  • Maintain compliance with email/SMS marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR) and proactively manage deliverability health.
  • Design, manage, and launch impactful Lifecycle campaigns.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve CRM related issues.
  • Develop and document best practices for marketing automation processes (personalization by vertical, naming conventions, folder organization, journey build, etc.).
  • Implement new data schema ingestion, in partnership with product & engineering.
  • Lead and support new integrations to further elevate the tech stack.
  • In partnership with the Senior Director, assist with contract renewal & usage discussions.
  • Stay current on CRM and martech trends, continually evaluating new tools and tactics to enhance automation performance.
