What YOU WILL ACHIEVE We are looking for an experienced and hands-on CRM Developer Lead to guide, mentor and uplift a small team responsible for delivering high-impact digital communications to our customers. In this role, you will oversee the build, segmentation and scheduling of all eDMs, push notifications and SMS campaigns – supporting over 300 million sends per year. This position blends technical execution with leadership. You’ll be the expert who ensures precision in audience targeting, consistency in build quality, and operational excellence in campaign delivery. You’ll also play a key part in evolving our CRM capabilities, driving automation, and supporting a significant uplift in personalisation across the customer lifecycle. What YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE Team Leadership & Operations • Lead, coach and develop a team of two CRM Developers, fostering a high-performance, supportive and solution-oriented culture • Oversee workload planning, prioritisation and daily workflow to ensure timely, accurate delivery of all BAU and campaign communications • Champion best practice across coding, QA, data usage, compliance and platform utilisation Campaign Development & Execution • Own the end-to-end build, testing and scheduling of all eDMs, SMS and push notifications • Ensure campaigns comply with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, privacy rules and industry best practice • Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality across templates, modules, dynamic content and personalisation logic Segmentation & Data Utilisation • Develop and optimise customers segments using CRM platform, ensuring efficient, effective and targeted communication • Partner with CRM and Martech Teams to enhance audience logic, improve target efficiency and increase campaign relevance Platform & Process Ownership • Act as the subject matter expert for the CRM platform • Manage templates, modular build systems, automation workflows and platform configurations to support rapid delivery • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual effort and drive operational efficiency Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement • Oversee and conduct QA checks to ensure flawless campaign execution across all channels and devices • Troubleshoot technical issues, data discrepancies and rendering problems with speed and confidence • Contribute to the broader CRM and Martech roadmap, advocating for enhancements that improve scale, accuracy, capability and customer experience Training & Support: • Provide training and support to marketing team members on the use of marketing technology tools and best practices. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to marketing systems and tools. Other Responsibilities to Achieve • Ensure all activity complies with all external regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to: ▪ ACMA/ADMA/Privacy Principles ▪ Privacy Act ▪ Trade Practise / Australian Consumer Law What YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE • 5+ years’ experience in CRM development, campaign production or marketing operations – ideally in a fast-paced retail environment. • Strong HTML/CSS coding capability for eDM builds, with experience in modular and dynamic frameworks. • Proven experience in marketing technology, including hands-on experience with various marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud). • Experience with Braze is highly regarded • Strong understanding of data integration, marketing automation, and CRM systems. • SQL or Liquid Experience is highly regarded • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Experience with CRM integration, data migration, and API usage. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Good understanding of all Legal, Privacy and Trade Practice Laws
