About Tembi Tembi is a fast-growing scale-up offering a unique market-intelligence-at-scale platform that empowers e-commerce businesses with a competitive edge. By combining data from nearly 1,000,000 webshops with machine learning predictions and AI agents, we deliver actionable insights that drive growth. We currently serve 70 customers across 20 European countries. Backed by Seed Capital, we are on a mission to grow 150% year-over-year. Our goal is to expand our customer base and increase average customer ARR from €30k to €50k. Now, we’re looking for a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead our commercial strategy, take Tembi to the next level and within 2-3 years grow ARR to 5-10 mio. €, take us through A- and B-round and expand team from 20 to +100 colleagues across Europe. The Role We’re seeking a CRO who can take full ownership of our commercial strategy while remaining hands-on in daily sales activities. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, execution power, and a willingness to lead from the front. Sales at Tembi is not yet fully scalable, so you’ll need to: Develop long-term commercial strategy, processes, and organization. Actively engage in lead generation, sales dialogues, and closing deals. Develop our strategic accounts Work closely with Product Management to develop the future of tembi This is a role for a commercial leader who thrives in a startup environment—building structures and strategy while remaining operational. In other words also be able to act as “a playing coach”. Responsibilities Strategy & Organization Develop and own the full go-to-market strategy, including segmentation, ICP definition, and growth plans. Design the future commercial organization in line with company growth. Build scalable processes, playbooks, and systems. Establish KPIs and reporting across all commercial functions. Hands-on Sales & Execution Actively participate in the full sales cycle: lead generation, meetings, negotiations, and closing. Collaborate closely with the CEO and current small team to drive pipeline. Build and nurture relationships with key customers and partners. Rapidly iterate on sales tactics and share learnings with the team. Leadership & Culture Recruit, develop, and coach a high-performing commercial team as we grow. Foster a culture focused on performance, learning, and collaboration. Ensure strong alignment between Sales, Marketing, and Product. Success Metrics (12–24 months) Define and validate a scalable sales engine (from founder-led to repeatable sales model). Grow ARR to $5–10M+. Build a commercial organization capable of supporting the next stage of scale. Ensure predictable pipeline and win rates that meet investor expectations. Who You Are Proven experience driving B2B sales in growth-stage companies, ideally SaaS or tech scale-ups. Experience with enterprise sales and strategic partnerships, including with existing customers. Track record of building go-to-market strategies, upsales strategies and sales organizations from scratch. Comfortable being both a strategic leader and frontline seller. Knowing how to succeed in both pre- and postsales Strong leadership skills, but not afraid to cold-call a prospect. Analytical, structured, and able to create clarity—yet pragmatic and action-oriented.
