JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Crop Inventory Coordinator to play a vital role in managing and tracking our crop inventory, with a primary focus on hay and grain. Reporting directly to the Farm & Data Records Manager, you will be responsible for accurate data entry, inventory tracking, reporting, and serving as a key liaison with our hay/grain team and customers. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage data effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient data entry skills, preferably with experience in database systems (e.g., Microsoft Access).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with agricultural practices, particularly related to hay and grain, is preferred.
  • Experience with record-keeping and reporting.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

    Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management & Data Entry:
  • Enter GDD for hay received and hay sales data into the Access database.
  • Maintain accurate records of grain and hay inventory.
  • Track grain and hay contracts.
  • Communication & Liaison:
  • Communicate effectively with the Hay/Grain team on inventory and related matters.
  • Serve as the primary customer liaison for hay crops, addressing inquiries and providing information.
  • Act as a liaison with farm data personnel to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Shipping & Receiving:
  • Audit shipping and receiving data for accuracy and discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot billing issues related to hay and grain.
  • Track outside carriers hauling for hire during harvest.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Generate crop inventory and tracking summaries on a regular basis.
  • Assist with Crop Insurance Reporting.
  • Contribute to FSA (Farm Service Agency) and NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service) reporting.
  • Database Management & Compliance:
  • Perform the annual setup of the GDD database for hay.
  • Manage Organic Records Documentation and assist with Organic Application processes.
  • Special Projects:
  • Research new projects and initiatives as needed.
