The CDS Engineer supports mission-critical cross-domain operations, ensuring the secure and reliable transfer of time-sensitive data across multiple classified networks. This role combines system administration, troubleshooting, and user support responsibilities to maintain operational integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough system testing to validate functionality and ensure CDS systems are capable of securely handling time-sensitive data.
  • Provide Tier I/II support to end-users, including login assistance, account troubleshooting, and resolving transfer failures across networks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot CDS-related issues, escalating to senior administrators when necessary.
  • Generate and compile weekly and monthly system usage and performance reports from formatted data sets.
  • Perform user management functions across multiple environments, including provisioning access to the RHR system and CDS web-based interface.
  • Monitor and manage active support tickets across multiple ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution and accountability.
  • Apply and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) updates across CDS guards, servers, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Oversee and respond to CDS support email queues across multiple networks, ensuring rapid incident response.
