United Way Miami is looking for a Crossing Guard who will ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially children, at designated crossing points near schools, intersections, or high-traffic areas. Provide security protection on the UWM campus, safeguarding personnel, visitors, and property, while establishing a positive impression of the organization through sharp attention to detail, prompt reaction to problems, and calm personal interaction. support the Campus operations team's work to provide an efficient, cost-effective, safe, and seamless facilities access experience to staff, tenants, and visitors. Principal Dutiesand Responsibilities Crossing Guard: Aid parents and children crossing between the garage and CFE during drop-off and pick-up times to ensure individuals' safety. Monitor the meeting scheduler to assess parking requirements and arrange staff parking reassignments as needed. Ensure that guests are greeted with a helpful, professional attitude while on campus for meetings or events. Monitor the cleanliness, security, and safety of the parking and annex parking lot, reporting any issues promptly. Campus Operations Support Services (backup): Timely processing of the daily mail and delivery packages in accordance with established procedures. Maintain the printer supplies inventory. Disseminate and install printer consumables as requested. Ensure proper maintenance of concession supplies in the 1st floor kitchen pantry closet and in the corresponding floor kitchenettes. Confirm meeting reservations at least two days in advance with the meeting lead. Monitor scheduling and ensure all information has been included and that set-ups are done according to procedures and completed as requested and on time. Place meeting supply orders and maintain organized inventory Monitor beverage services during large meetings. Ensure that meeting rooms are cleaned and organized after each meeting. Coordinate with custodial staff to set up and break down the meeting rooms. Requirements Education Requirements: High School graduate, GED, or equivalent experience. Experience Requirements: One year of experience as an office or service assistant, security, or operations. Technology Requirements: Knowledge of modern web browsers, Word, Excel, and Outlook, Beginner Andar, and Financial Edge. Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Must be highly organized; demonstrate high-level customer service abilities and understanding, and effective communication skills; must be able to work a flexible schedule based on meeting schedules.
