Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Facilitator’s responsibilities include expertise in core content, Content Department of K-12, and any designated Extra-Curricular areas of the school. This position includes the following courses: Geography (9th grade), World History (10th grade), US History (11th grade), Government/Economics (12th grade), and honors classes as well. Essential Job Functions: The Executive Director shall define specific employee minimum qualifications that shall include, but not be limited to, the following: · Provide Christian and academic excellence in the leadership of the school. · Implement the Mission and Vision Statements, as well as School initiatives of Crossroads Christian Church & Schools. · Commitment of time, energy, and effort in developing CCS’s vision and program. · Commitment to working with parents as educational partners. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Knowledge of the developmental needs of learners in Collaborative 21st Century Learning environments. · Ability to plan collaborative learning strategies within a cooperative environment with other staff. · Actively attend and participate in staff briefings and debriefings. · Willingness to continue education through additional courses and training, workshops, seminars and staff development. · Active participation in department meetings. · Follow and help enforce all school policies and classroom expectations as established · Focus on working closely with all school staff by providing any information regarding a learner’s behavior change, attitude and/or classroom performance. · A comprehensive educational vision that is consistent with the mission of the school. · Familiarity with Collaborative Learning and 21st Century schools and the target population, technological facility, and management experience. · Participate in Accreditation and uphold professional requirements as noted by the accrediting body. · Participate and serve as a leader in the CCHS Missions Program and Winter Mountain Seminar Camp. · Other duties as assigned General Duties: · Excellence in instructional strategies, classroom management, content development, strategic planning, and continued staff development. · Motivational and energetic leader who is committed to Biblical principles and in Servanthood to Jesus Christ through educational excellence. · Solutions-oriented strategic thinker who has overcome complex organizational challenges. · Unwavering in pursuit of excellence even in the face of difficult opposition and challenges. · Results-driven educational leader with a commitment to standards-based curriculum. EDUCATION · Bachelor’s Degree · Preferred, Master’s degree in specified field · Preferred, 2 years of experience in an academic setting · Current ACSI Certification, if applicable · Obtained or In Process to Obtain, California Teaching Credential and/or Master’s degree As a condition of continued employment, the Employee agrees to begin an accredited credential and/or master’s program relevant to their role within six (6) months of their hire date. Exemption: Employees with at least 8 years of teaching experience as a primary teacher at the K-12 level may be exempt from the credential/masters expectations. In such cases, the Employee will not be required to begin or complete an accredited credential or master’s program, provided that they maintain their teaching responsibilities and qualifications. The details of this requirement are as follows: 1. Program Selection: The program must align with the professional development goals of the Employee’s role. 2. Verification: The Employee shall provide proof of enrollment within the six-month timeframe. 3. Progress and Completion: The Employee agrees to make reasonable progress toward completing the program and to provide updates upon request. Timeline and Expectations To ensure that the educational requirement is met, the following tasks must be completed within the designated timelines: Task Deadline Submit program list to Employer Within 1 month of hire Enroll in selected program Within 4 months of hire Provide proof of enrollment Within 6 months of hire Submit first progress update Within 9 months of hire Complete first year of coursework Within 18 months of hire Failure to meet these timelines may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Working Conditions · Able to open and close School Campus Facilities · Able to keep the campus safe and protected from the public during school hours. · Able to meet with staff, learners, and parents when dealing with behavioral issues. · Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. · Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily. · Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone. · Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Mental Work Demands and Position Requirements · Regular and on-time attendance. · Hours not to exceed 40 hours per week. · Participation in at least two extracurricular activities throughout the year: Christmas Programs, Family Fellowship Nights, School Productions, Night of Entertainments, Athletics Games etc. · Attend Briefings and Debriefings. · Attend in-services and professional development meetings as deemed necessary by the Administration.
