CRUISE SPECIALIST, FULL-TIME

Boat Bike Tours (www.boatbiketours.com) is a distinguished tour company that specializes in cycling and boating vacations along European riverways. Headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Boat Bike Tours established a reservation and customer service call center in the United States in 2022. We are actively seeking a dedicated team member to support our customer service and sales initiatives at our office located in Fairfield, Connecticut. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who possess a passion for travel, exhibit superior multitasking abilities, and enjoy assisting customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate quotes and execute cruise bookings through email, telephone, and online chat.
- Address inquiries regarding our vessels, bicycles, accommodations, dining selections, sightseeing activities, and the various destinations we serve throughout Europe.
- Provide assistance to both current and prospective clients with quotes, bookings, problem resolution, and addressing complaints.
- Contribute to product preparation by updating manifests and coordinating communications with tour leaders.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- A minimum of three years of experience in customer service and/or customer retention.
- Detail-oriented with robust multitasking capabilities.
- Proficient in problem-solving and adept at managing customer complaints.
- Exhibits a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to Europe for training, including covered training and travel costs.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is preferred.
- Personal travel experience in Europe is advantageous.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities, particularly in German and Dutch, are considered a plus.
- Openness to learning about the travel, hospitality, and tourism sectors is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is advantageous.
Work Schedule:
The working schedule includes Monday to Friday, with shifts ranging from 6 to 8 hours between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, averaging 30 to 35 hours per week. We will make every effort to establish consistent shifts and schedules. This position is primarily office-based, with some potential for remote work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
