JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and managing staff effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant settings is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and training & development.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software and cash handling procedures.
  • Background in culinary arts or fine dining experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of service quality.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers alike.
  • Experience in hospitality management or kitchen management is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth workflow during shifts.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed to support kitchen staff during peak hours.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to promote a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, scheduling, and operational improvements.
