Sandhill Equipment Corp is looking for a full time Crusher Operator to run our mobile crushing plant based out of Kitimat, with the possibility of working at our Kelowna site as needed. We are particularly interested in candidates currently living in Kitimat or Kelowna. The Crusher Operator is required to have several years’ previous experience running a crusher. The candidate chosen for this position is expected to show discretion, stay organized, multi task, and adapt in what is often a fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the Project Manager, indirectly to the Site Superintendent(s).
Schedule is usually 10 hours per day on a 20 on 10 off rotation schedule. Overtime is almost always required. Overtime pay is provided.
Must be okay with working in multiple locations and job sites as needed.
Accommodations along with a living out allowance (LOA) is provided for non-local workers.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
1) Plant Operation – Observe gauges, meters, computer printouts, video monitors and products to ensure correct operation of plant and verify specified processing conditions. Adjust as required to maintain plant function. Record production information and complete daily reports.
2) Equipment Operation – Operate loader. Load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities. Conduct pre-trip inspections before shift and report any issues found. Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment when not performed by an on-site mechanic or fueler. May assist with machinery maintenance or repair.
3) Standard Corporate Responsibilities – Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Maintain the stability and reputation of the organization by complying with legal and waste management requirements. Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish the job results. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Be conversant with relevant sections of the Safety Manual. Understand WorkSafeBC acts and regulations, as well as the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in BC.
