We are a family owned and operated company in Palmyra, MO, USA, directly located on Hwy 61.   PURPOSE OF JOB A material handler locates, moves and stores various materials within the plant while maintaining production orders and maintaining in-process inventory.   ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Checking deliveries to ensure all materials meet quality standards. • Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes, etc. • Receive and check incoming pick tickets. • Pull material to fulfil orders properly. • Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed. • Perform inventory controls to keep high quality standards and accurate inventory counts and report any discrepancies.  • Keep safe and clean working environment and optimize space utilization. • Organize and sort items on shelving, bins, and overhangs according to company standards   QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail • Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining and organized warehouse • Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred • Record keeping skills necessary to provide accurate information for managers and supervisors regarding inventory • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance   WORKING CONDITIONS Typically working in a manufacturing environment.  Will at times be exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, vibration, welding sparks, grease, oil, and diesel fuel.  Will often be required to stand for extended periods of time while working in a fast-paced environment, especially when working with tight deadlines.   BENEFITS • 10-hour, day shift, Monday – Thursday • 401(k) retirement plan with 4% Company match • Health, Dental, Vision and Life insurance • Paid Vacation  • Paid Holidays • Short- and Long-Term Disability insurance
