JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

As the Central Sterile Technician II, you will be responsible for the appropriate handling, decontamination, cleaning and processing/sterilization of all instruments and equipment for the facility within all institutional and regulatory guidelines.

• You will be responsible for the logistical movement of patient care equipment including IV pumps, SCD units
• You will be responsible for crash cart stocking and movement
• You will be available for additional unit functions as requested and supervised by the Supervisor, Central Service and/or the Director, Central Service

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of Central Sterile or Operating Room Technician program required
• Advanced knowledge of general surgical instruments and medical equipment preferred
• A minimum of 2 years Central Service/Sterile Processing experience preferred
• IAHCSMM Certification required within 12 months of hire
