Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description Role Summary As a Cost Manager for Data Centre Projects with a CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) focus, you will support the delivery of cost management services across data‑centre builds, site development, superstructure works, and architectural packages. You will be responsible for pre‑contract estimating, procurement support, cost planning, and post‑contract cost control. Key Responsibilities Project Support & Coordination Demonstrate solid understanding of pre‑contract and post‑contract cost management processes. Support cost estimating, budgeting, and cost planning for CSA elements, including civil works, structural works, building envelope, and architectural finishes. Assist with tendering and procurement activities such as preparing tender documents, reviewing bids, conducting tender analyses, and compiling contract documents. Monitor post‑contract cost variances and support change control procedures, escalating major changes where necessary. Work effectively across data‑centre environments, ensuring coordination between CSA works and other disciplines (e.g. MEP, fit‑out, external works). Governance & Reporting Prepare monthly post‑contract cost reports and support their presentation to clients. Contribute to value engineering discussions focusing on buildability, material selection, and design efficiency. Engage actively with clients, consultants, and contractors at all project stages. Recommend improvements to templates, systems, and processes within the cost management function. Ensure key insights, benchmarks, and lessons learned are uploaded into internal knowledge‑sharing platforms. Support Assistant Cost Managers as needed and collaborate effectively with the wider team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost management or construction roles, ideally with exposure to civil, structural, or architectural packages. Familiarity with CSA works such as earthworks, piling, foundations, concrete/steel structures, façades, roofing, and internal architectural finishes. Strong communication, stakeholder‑management, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in cost estimation software such as CostX or similar tools.
