OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled SSSTS carpenter foreman with strong leadership abilities to oversee a team of carpenters on a construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, while prioritizing health and safety and adherence to building codes. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial constructions, where attention to detail and craftsmanship are paramount.

QUALIFICATIONS

• MUST HAVE CSCS card.
• Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, including joinery and assembly methods.
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to carpentry work.
• Ability to read technical documents such as blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or kneeling.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.

Experience:

• Joinery: 1 year (preferred)
• Carpentry: 5 years (preferred)

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.

• Carry out roofing tasks as required, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
• Plumb structures accurately to ensure level installations.
• Execute painting tasks as necessary to finish projects with a professional appearance.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks.
• Conduct heavy lifting as needed for transporting materials or assembling structures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety regulations and protocols.
