MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Currently enrolled in or recently completed post-secondary studies in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
Passion for Volunteering: A strong desire to make a difference in the community and a commitment to volunteering.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Social Media Proficiency: Familiarity with various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and understanding of digital marketing strategies.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Team Player: Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Creative Thinking: Ability to contribute innovative ideas for marketing campaigns and volunteer engagement strategies.
Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing needs and tasks in a dynamic, volunteer-focused environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in all aspects of marketing and volunteer coordination.
Experience in Marketing or Volunteering (Preferred): Previous experience in marketing, event coordination, or volunteering is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Manager of Philanthropy and Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator with all aspects of fund development, including planning and implementing fundraising events.
  • Support the planning and preparation of fundraising and educational events. This includes updating mailing lists, making phone calls, and preparing/assembling coffee break packages.
  • Assist with donation collection, including contacting both past and potential teams through letters, phone calls, and personal outreach. Update contact databases throughout the process.
