Primary Purpose of Role The CSR Compliance Manager oversees supplier ethical compliance, due diligence and onboarding, prepares modern slavery reports, and manages MFG’s CSR Compliance Framework. The CSR Manager is also responsible for supporting the agreed CSR / ESG initiatives. Key Result Areas and Responsibilities A. CSR Compliance Executes the board-approved Compliance Framework. Develops, deploys and updates governance-related policies, procedures, and resources. Manages supplier due diligence and compliance (i.e. audits, remediation, onboarding) and implements mitigation strategies where necessary. Ensures the Company meets its Human Rights objections across its supply chain. Develops, implements, and maintains the Company’s modern slavery due diligence suite, portal and reporting. Engages third-party providers to provide guidance, advice and recommendations to assist the Company in meeting and addressing compliance obligations. Maintain the Criticality Matrix and conduct an annual review of all CSR policies and procedures, providing recommended updates to the Board via the monthly report. Manage the due diligence and site audits process, ensuring supplier adherence to the Criticality Matrix and Remediation policy. Assists with other tasks or projects, as directed by the Head of Tax, Treasury & Risk B. Project Management Manage the end-to-end delivery of compliance initiatives by maintaining project plans, relevant documents, and tasks to ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget. Examples include the Speak Up program and Supplier Portal Update. Oversee Modern Slavery Projects, including creating the annual Modern Slavery Strategy that aligns with the initiatives outlined in the Modern Slavery Statement's "Looking Forward" section. Develop and implement initiatives in line with the continuous improvement requirements of the Modern Slavery Act to enhance traceability. This covers key areas such as USA sales, subcontracting, and the reverse supply chain. C. Reporting Maintains the Compliance Summary Spreadsheet for the Monthly Compliance Progress Committee meeting. Prepares and develops the monthly board dashboard, providing visibility to risk alerts and status updates on compliance and modern slavery initiatives. Maintains and prepares data and insights for external reports, including a Modern Slavery Statement inclusions register (i.e. Case Studies and Actions Taken). Conduct quarterly audits of supplier compliance and accuracy using the Purchase Order Report, which includes T2 Manufacturing Suppliers and the Supplier Spend report, compared against the information in the Supplier Portal. Prepares annual Modern Slavery Statement, including managing stakeholders, the graphic design and inclusion sign-off. D. Stakeholder Engagement Acts as the key contact for all suppliers and partners on CSR initiatives and supplier onboarding and manages the CSR inbox. Partners with the Head of Tax, Treasury & Risk to address supplier compliance, manage critical non- compliances of stock suppliers and collaborate on applicable ESG targets and actions. Communicates all Risk Alerts clearly and transparently to the Head of Tax, Treasury & Risk and the CFO on all matters that deviate from the board-approved Compliance Framework. Influences stakeholders to raise awareness of compliance, modern slavery and traceability requirements. Partners with the Capability Team to educate Partners and team members on modern slavery. Partners with various stakeholders to ensure education and awareness of the new supplier onboarding requirements Acts as the conduit between Cowell Clarke and the business on all CSR initiatives. Key Skills Qualifications & Experience Prerequisite Skills: Excellent communication, consultation and influencing skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and build partnerships. Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail to lead multiple projects with a high- volume workload. A continuous improvement mindset and enthusiasm to drive the CSR strategy. A positive, professional outlook, passionate about people, Human Rights, and compliance. A one-team mindset; willingness to go outside of the required duties to support the team in achieving objectives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Education/Qualifications/Memberships: Qualifications in Corporate Social Responsibility / Human Rights or equivalent work experience. Preferred Experience: Experience working in traceability, procurement or sourcing is strongly preferred. Experience in a fast-paced business environment; retail is preferred. Experience working with a compliance or project management tool is an advantage. Experience supporting climate reporting and sustainability initiatives.
