ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE: The sterilising department at East Melbourne services 11 Operating Theatres, Uro/Gynae Unit and some external customers. The Department covers a variety of specialties including Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics, General surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Opthalmology & Breast surgery. Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to); · Collect, clean and decontaminate equipment used by the Operating Suite and Clinical units on a daily basis. · Load and unload ultrasonic, instrument washers, dryers and sterilisers according to instructions and general duties list. · Inspect and reassemble items as required. · Prepare, check and package instruments and loan sets to be sterilised. · Prepare operating theatre set-ups for the following days surgeries (desirable) WHY WORK FOR SVPHM: You will join a high performing team and a workplace with relationships built on mutual trust and respect.
