The CSSD Supervisor will play a vital role in upholding exceptional healthcare standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing the decontamination, packaging, and sterilisation of all reusable instruments / equipment used in the Operating Theatres. Ensuring compliance and the relevant Instructions for Use (IFUs). Reporting directly to the Perioperative and CSSD Services Manager, the CSSD Supervisor’s leadership will be instrumental in supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Objectives:

• Oversees the daily operations of the CSSD, including the procurement, processing, and maintenance of instruments and equipment, as well as all facets of caregiver employment administration.
• Leadership & Supervision: Oversee daily CSSD operations, staff delegation, training, annual performance reviews, and compliance with sterilisation standards (AS5369:2023).
• Sterilisation Process Management: Handle decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilisation, and documentation of reusable medical instruments.
• Equipment & Resource Oversight: Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment, chemicals, and cleaning protocols.
• Inventory & Supply Management: Maintain stock levels, manage storage, and support procurement to meet surgical needs.
• Steriliser Management: Supervise routine cleaning, testing, and documentation for all sterilisers.
