QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiations or equivalent
  • Eligibility for A.S.M.I.R.T. Statement of Compliance
  • National Registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Imaging Technologist
  • Victorian Department of Health Use Licence
  • Evidence of CPD in line with registration requirements
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Strong team worker

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Your role will be to assist the Grade 4 CT Supervisor in the coordination of CT services and to support staff in providing the best possible radiographic examinations ensuring patient comfort, welfare and safety in accordance with established radiographic practice, ethics and code of conduct. You will be rotated in CT through Inpatients, Outpatients, Emergency & Trauma to allow the broadest range of experience.

Interested applicants should also fit the following criteria which are considered highly desirable in a potential dedicated/permanent grade 3 CT position:

  • A willingness to participate in the training and assessment of students, interns, and radiographers in CT, providing direct supervision and aid at all times. Recognise accomplishments and offer constructive feedback regarding performance against role expectations
  • To demonstrate an ability to perform high-end / complex CT exams and to work in conjunction with CT supervisors to effectively utilise the CT scanners
  • A postgraduate qualification in CT would be advantageous
