Summary The CT Supervisor oversees the CT department and its 24 hours per day, 7 days per week operations. The supervisor will be responsible for supervision of the CT staff, all communications, conducting staff meetings, coordinating continuous training and updating protocols. Other responsibilities include assisting in all purchasing matters, including equipment purchases, coordinating QA activities, ensuring safety and regulation compliance, and performing other related duties as required. This will have a significant role in the administration or preparation of the departments or the organization's budget. Responsibilities Supervises the work of the CT Techs, coordinates schedules. Counsels and evaluates subordinates work performance, recommend promotions transfers and disciplinary actions. Implement new processes to improve our efficiency and quality of work performed. Initiates all bids required for the CT department, maintains appropriate par levels of items necessary to operate the CT department on a daily basis. Review and process Kronos for CT staff. Maintain yearly budget and help forecast budgets for the coming year. Complies with all safety rules and regulations and ensures staff is well informed of requirements. Ensures that staff adheres to all infection control policies. Provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating and continually monitoring and evaluation the quality of service provided. Communicates the organization's mission and vision to all staff. Performs all other related job duties as assigned. Experience Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience. Management experience is required. Education Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology with additional training in CT is required. Credentials Florida State license as a Radiology Technologist is required. CT certification though the ARRT is required. American Heart Association and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers may be required at the unit level upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
