Job Title: CT Tech-Weekend Program Unit: Medical Imaging Shift: Days-weekends (Fr 6A-630P Sat-Sun 7A-730P) Facility: Miami Valley North General Summary/Responsibilities: Independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities or at other facilities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities. Independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner including MRI safe practices. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.
