Description
Overview CVP is seeking Computed Tomography Technologists to provide comprehensive CT imaging services for our Nation's Veterans at the San Francisco VA Health Care System and its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics. You'll play a vital role in delivering advanced diagnostic imaging services across multiple locations. As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will perform complex CT examinations using advanced imaging technology. You'll work independently while collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide critical diagnostic information that supports Veterans' medical care across the San Francisco Bay area. Responsibilities Perform complex CT examinations using advanced imaging protocols and techniques Set up CT rooms ensuring sterile supplies, materials, and required equipment are properly arranged and maintained Operate CT equipment using appropriate technical factors and established protocols with knowledge of radiation safety principles Receive and prepare patients by verifying identity, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout examinations Archive and document procedures with proper image annotation, evaluation, and quality assessment for optimal diagnostic interpretation Send daily start/end time and workload emails to designated VA address and maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records Qualifications Completion of full-time training program in diagnostic radiologic technology from JRCERT-accredited program Current certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (renewed every 2 years) Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, medical terminology, and physiology Understanding of radiation safety principles and CT-specific protocols Strong patient care and communication skills Ability to work independently and make appropriate clinical decisions Physical ability to assist patients and operate complex imaging equipment US Citizenship required for background investigation Shift Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays:• Days: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM• Split: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM• Evenings: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM• Nights: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM Pay Range: $68-73/hr Location Santa Rosa CBOC, 2285 Challenger Way, Santa Rosa, CA About CVP CVP is an award-winning healthcare and next-gen technology and consulting services firm solving critical problems for healthcare, national security, and public sector clients.
