In addition to performing advanced imaging procedures, the CT Technologist Specialist services as a resource to staff and provides technical expertise to multiple areas! If you’re passionate about patient care and eager to grow professionally, apply today! Responsibilities: Performs job responsibilities of CT Technologist & Advanced CT Technologist. Responsible for Tech Quality Assurance program aspects, and the reviewing and updating of protocols alongside of or in place of the Lead Technologists. Assists with accreditation responsibilities. Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques, and disseminates information to imaging departmental leadership and as a part of new hire orientation. Assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment. Leads training on new techniques and protocols for research studies, and collaborates with Radiologists and Researchers where applicable to identify new techniques and problem-solving resolutions. Serves as a technical resource to technologists on a daily operational basis. Assists Technologists with continuing education needs and participates as a peer delegate in staff annual performance reviews. Creates and implements new training programs, where applicable, and assists with the startup of new offsite locations. Responsibilities for new locations include, but are not limited to, working on reporting systems, obtaining appropriate images, and effectively communicating with attending physicians as well as co-workers and patients. Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or certified by a CNMT program. 3 years CT experience required. ARRT-certified as a CT Technologist. Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities
The specialist performs the duties of both a CT Technologist and an Advanced CT Technologist, taking responsibility for aspects of the Tech Quality Assurance program and reviewing/updating protocols.
