Summary In alignment with the Star Valley Health mission, vision, and values, the CT Technologist performs a wide variety of radiologic and CT imaging procedures while producing diagnostic-quality images with minimal supervision. This role requires independent judgment, technical skill, and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. This position complies with all Federal, state, and local regulations. This is an at-will position. Job Duties Perform a variety of imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety at all times. Serve as the first point of contact for patients and help create a positive, reassuring experience. Participate in Performance Improvement, Radiation Safety, Patient Satisfaction, and Quality Improvement initiatives. Operate CT scanners and related equipment according to established radiation safety protocols. Accurately position patients for CT procedures, using immobilization or protective equipment as needed. Start IVs and administer contrast using power injectors. Dispense oral contrast and assist with interventional CT procedures as directed by the radiologist. Evaluate CT images for technical quality, ensure proper labeling, and transmit images to PACS. Provide training and orientation to new technologists and support education for student technologists. Perform additional duties as required to support department operations. Requirements Requirements Abilities & Skills: Ability to provide compassionate care for the physical and emotional needs of patients. Knowledge and proficiency in all facility CT protocols. Ability to function independently and take a lead role when needed. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Experience & Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Current ARRT registration in Radiography. Current Wyoming General Radiologic Technologist License. Current BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire). ARRT certification in CT preferred. Responsibilities
