Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Full-Time Temporary CTF, Literacy & Numeracy Teacher to join the dedicated team at Oak Hill School for the 2025/2026 school year.
Located in Bon Accord, Oak Hill School serves students in Grades 4–9 who are placed at Oak Hill Ranch by Alberta Child and Family Services. Working in collaboration with the Ranch, Sturgeon Public Schools, and Alberta Education, the school’s primary goal is to deliver a quality education program tailored to each student’s emotional, social, and academic needs. Our staff are highly skilled, compassionate, and committed to helping students thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engaging CTF (Career & Technology Foundations) instruction
  • Support students through targeted literacy and numeracy intervention
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with diverse learning profiles
  • Integrate technology and hands-on learning
  • Build positive, trust-based relationships with students who have emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective instructional strategiesModel and apply best practices in classroom management, including TCI-S

What You Bring

  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Experience teaching CTF, literacy, and numeracy at the elementary/junior high level
  • Knowledge of TCI-S and effective strategies for supporting challenging behaviours
  • Experience in special education settings and familiarity with employability curriculum
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with technology to enhance learningClear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
