Job Overview Ebenezer is looking for a Culinary Assistant to join our senior cooperative team at Becketwood Cooperative in Minneapolis, MN! This position is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to residents. This nutrition schedule includes; On Call/Casual Day and Early evening shifts available To maintain Casual status, employees must be willing to be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per month (two shifts must be weekend shifts) and one (1) Holiday shift per year. The weekend starts with the beginning of the night shift on Friday and ends with the beginning of the night shift on Sunday Responsibilities: Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting: Follows meal serving schedule and procedures. Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs. Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques. Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures. Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up. Follows proper work flow to stay on task. Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service. Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift. Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction: Welcomes residents and initiates conversation. Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc. Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
