Position Summary The Staff Meal / Employee Catering Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for venue employees, crew members, and support staff. This role focuses on efficient bulk cooking, menu planning, and timely service to ensure all team members are properly fueled during events and daily operations. The position reports directly to the Catering Chef and will assist with premium catering operations once employee meal service responsibilities are complete. The cook works in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and consistency. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook daily staff meals for employees across departments Plan balanced menus that accommodate dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences Execute bulk food production efficiently for large employee counts Ensure meals are ready and served on schedule for shifts and breaks Maintain proper food temperatures, storage, labeling, and sanitation standards Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the Catering Chef Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products Maintain a clean, organized staff kitchen and serving area Support premium catering production and service as directed by the Catering Chef once staff meal duties are fulfilled Follow all health, safety, and company policies Support additional kitchen duties as assigned Qualifications Experience in high-volume cooking, institutional cooking, or employee dining preferred Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices Ability to work independently and create and cook this meal and as part of a team Ability to follow recipes while adapting for large-batch production Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and event days Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Intermediate Knife Skills Work Environment This position operates in a fast-paced crowded kitchen supporting large-scale events and daily venue operations. The cook may work in hot, cold, or noisy conditions typical of commercial kitchens. This is a part time seasonal position eligible for benefits including accruing Colorado sick leave and 401K. $27 this role will be open till 5/13/26 or filled Legends is an Equal Opportunity employer.
