Ebenezer is seeking a Culinary Director to lead our dining services team. This role oversees all culinary operations, ensuring meals are prepared and presented to meet both regulatory standards and resident expectations. You’ll lead a dedicated team of cooks, chefs, and culinary assistants in a collaborative and rewarding environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) (must obtain within first 90-days of employment)
  • One or more years of previous experience
  • Performance Management Skills
  • Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree - Food Service
  • Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification. Accept Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification from the following companies:
  • Serv Safe
  • Always Food Safe
  • Certified Dietary Manager
    Qualifications:
    $28.71-$40.54 Hourly

Responsibilities

Dining Services Management

  • Oversee all dining operations
  • Follow corporate menus and manage food inventory and budget
  • Help plan weekly menus
  • Ensure proper food prep, sanitation, and handling
  • Adjust meals for special dietary needs
  • Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and organized

Food Preparation

  • Cook food to correct temperatures and standards
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines
  • Prepare meals and bakery items on time
  • Handle special diets using IDDSI standards
  • Complete daily prep tasks and assist with events

Sanitation

  • Maintain a “clean as you go” attitude demonstrated by a clean work area.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment after each use or per the routine cleaning schedule.

Staff Supervision

  • Hire, train, and supervise dining staff
  • Provide feedback and conduct performance reviews
  • Encourage teamwork and positive work environment

Resident Relations

  • Maintain a clean, welcoming dining area
  • Greet residents and encourage social interaction
  • Listen to feedback and resolve concerns professionally
  • Accommodate special requests and help plan private events
