We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Adult Education Culinary Instructor with a dual role of Certified ServSafe Instructor and Registered ServSafe Proctor. Program will run September-December (Wednesday Nights only 4-9:30).The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging and comprehensive culinary instruction to adult learners, fostering a positive learning environment, and preparing them for successful careers in the culinary and hospitality industries. Additionally, this instructor will ensure the secure and compliant administration of ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification exams, upholding the integrity of the certification process. Responsibilities: * Develop and deliver engaging culinary arts curriculum to adult learners, incorporating a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills training.* Provide clear and concise culinary demonstrations, ensuring students grasp proper techniques and best practices across various cooking methods, food preparation, and plating.* Assess and evaluate student progress through practical exams, projects, and written assignments, providing constructive feedback and support.* Maintain a safe, sanitary, and well-organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.* Stay abreast of current culinary trends, techniques, and industry advancements to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and engaging.* Mentor and provide career guidance to students, fostering a supportive learning environment and encouraging their professional growth within the culinary and hospitality fields.

  • Administer ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exams (both online and print) in accordance with the standards outlined in the ServSafe Examination Administration Handbook and Performance Agreement.* Schedule and coordinate exam sessions, ensuring adherence to established procedures and timelines.* Maintain the confidentiality and security of all exam materials and content.* Verify examinee identities and monitor the testing environment to prevent the use of unauthorized aids and ensure exam integrity.* Serve as a liaison between the ServSafe offices and students, ensuring all requirements are met and conditions are adhered to.* Ensure the proper functioning of technology required for online exams (e.g., internet connection, computer access) prior to the start of the test.
