[What the role is] We are looking for a dynamic, passionate practitioner in baking and pastry who is eager to share their craft and inspire students. This is a teaching position with the Temasek Culinary Academy under the School of Business. [What you will be working on] Facilitates student learning in best practice culinary skills and knowledge, in keeping with the vision, mission, goals, objectives, policies & procedures of the diploma and organization Provides feedback and consultative input in curriculum design, content, assessment and food preparation, service, operations and delivery Prepares, reviews and improves lesson plan and instructor manual regularly and when needed Conducts assessment with the view to maximize student learning Manages the day-to-day running of baking & pastry production areas to the highest standards Ensures all assets are operational ready for daily running of all kitchens Participates in new recipe and menu development [What we are looking for] Qualifications in Baking & Pastry or in a related field Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience within the Food & Beverage or hospitality sector, demonstrating applied skills in culinary production, food service, or outlet operations Specialised expertise in Baking & Pastry, with exposure to hotel or restaurant pastry production, kitchen operations, or pastry leadership roles Strong understanding of F&B service and outlet workflows, including operational sequencing, production planning, and service execution Knowledge of industrial food safety, kitchen sanitation, and hygiene protocols, compliant with local regulatory and industry standards Knowledge and application skills for classical and modern cuisine (baking & pastries), both theory (including terminology, equipment usage, product knowledge, cooking techniques etc) and practical Ability to facilitate learning using effective teaching methodologies (advantage). Strong communication and networking skills; experience in competitions is a plus. Passionate about teaching and student development.
