Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Culinary Intern. Reporting to the Head Chef , the Culinary Intern supports the Kitchen Team in the preparation, production, and presentation of food across the hotel’s culinary outlets. Working alongside experienced Chefs, the intern will gain hands-on experience in luxury hospitality while learning culinary techniques, food safety standards, and the operational excellence expected within Marriott International and The Luxury Collection. The impact you’ll make This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop hospitality expertise within a luxury environment, gaining hands-on exposure to service excellence, guest engagement, and luxury hotel operations. What you’ll do * Support the kitchen brigade in daily food preparation and production activities. * Assist chefs with ingredient preparation, mise en place, and basic cooking tasks. * Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and storage areas. * Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards. * Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating products according to hotel procedures. * Support staff canteen, restaurant, in-room dining, and special event operations as required. * Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient kitchen operations. What you’ll need: * Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * At good knowledge of Italian * Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Production, or a related field. * Passion for cooking and the hospitality industry. * Strong desire to learn and develop culinary skills. * Positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
