We’re looking for a Culinary Manager to lead our dietary team and create a dining experience that truly enhances residents' lives. In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of our Culinary Department—ensuring high-quality meals, excellent service, and compliance with healthcare regulations—while building a strong, motivated team. What You’ll Do Lead and manage daily operations of the Culinary Department Ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and tailored to resident needs and preferences Collaborate with a Registered Dietitian to deliver high-quality nutritional care Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company regulations Oversee food ordering, budgeting, and inventory management Supervise, train, and schedule culinary staff to ensure excellent service Conduct meal rounds and gather feedback from residents and families Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently met Participate in surveys, audits, and performance improvement initiatives What We’re Looking For Experience in food service management (healthcare or long-term care preferred) Strong leadership and team-building skills Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and basic nutrition Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and department operations Excellent communication and organizational skills Passion for providing exceptional service to residents Why Join Us? Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree in dietetic technology, dietetics, culinary arts, or foodservice management preferred. Licenses/Certification Food Handlers permit if required per state regulations. ServSafe Food Safety Certification One or more of the following required: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP) with the Dietary Manager’s Association Dietetic Technician, Registered, with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or, Certification with the American Culinary Federation Valid driver’s license Experience Two years’ experience in large quantity food preparation required. One year of experience in a supervisory role preferred Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred. One year of experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred. *Company will pay for the right candidate to obtain any certifications that are preferred or required.
